Entaniya Fisheye HAL 220 PL is a very specialistic cinema lens, woth Arri PL mount.
It is not a zoom lens, it’s not a prime, they are calling it “varifocal”. A varifocal lens is not a common thing nowadays, but in the times in which only primes were available the term was originally intended for those first optic constructions that could modify their focal length in discrete steps. In this case, you have to dismantle the lens and exchange an inner spacer between the two main groups, so, nothing you can do on the field when it’s windy…

I had the luck to put my fingerprints on one of these beauties at the Tokyo IVRPA conference. It’s a masterpiece in mechanics, but I never tried one.
It is available in two models depending on iris blades, the 9 and the 11 blades have significantly different sunstars.
