The last incarnation of the 16mm Distagon was given T* treatment and a modern look. Modern even for nowadays standards, and it was 1975.
I promise other pictures and IN-DEPTH REVIEW since I’m using this lens from the film era. Meanwhile, I can make you notice the cap, it’s flexible heavy rubber plastic, slip-on type, and easy to lose. Some gaffer tape inside makes it a tad more firmly in place. It’s heavy and monolithic, just like Contax cameras. The filter ring is tall and straight, with no bumps, no rubber, but it’s not easy to casually change filter when you handle the lens.
