Seems at least two versions of this lens are available. The Sony E one I own has a screw hood, so you can unscrew it and make use of a good cropped circle fisheye on Sony fullframe mirrorless family.
The lens I have is one of the first examples, there is no brand or name written on it, only in the plain cardboard box a sticker says “7artisans” and reports the lens name. It’s all metal, small and heavy, the front cap is flexible plastic, like the cheap caps you can find in the cctv lenses. It does the job perfectly. No clicks in the aperture ring, manual focus, and, of course, no electric contact with the camera.
The lens is not good as the Samyang 8mm that costs double the price, nor does it have the same flare resistance, but it’s in no way a bad lens, and CAN be used for serious amateur shooting, panorama VR pictures, etc. Border behavior and flare are not fantastic, but you can stop down a little bit and be very conscious of light sources, grabbing for a low price your first step in the fisheye world.
